A STAR WITHOUT A NAME
When a baby is baby is taken from the wet nurse
It easily forgets her
And starts eating solid food
Seeds feed awhile on the ground
Then lift up into the sun
So you should taste the filtered light
And work your way towards wisdom
With no personal covering
That’s how you come here like a star
without a name. Move across the night sky
With those anonymous lights.
We come into this world without the trappings of belongings, friends, name, memory, good or evil. Only other people attribute these things to us depending upon the family into which we are born – we are then actually a star without a name! When we die, we leave behind everything. No money, friends, foes, belongings, and not even good or bad deeds, just we carry yonder!
What we do in between this birth and death is all that matters. Life is the night sky, during which we move about, interacting very superficially with the many similarly anonymous lights- other beings. And yet we love, we hate, we fight. How strange! How ridiculous!
If we are firm and purposeful of gaining wisdom, to find the source of where we- the stardust, have originally come from, then we too shine with effulgence –like a Sun amid the stars, amongst the myriad anonymous lights, like our beloved Sai Master, Acharya Ekkirala Bharadwaja. He was a complete man- a son, a husband, a father, and a lecturer. He did justice to all these roles in the best possible manner, a feat seemingly unimaginable for a human being. Out of unbounded love for us he trod the path of a common mortal so that we could be guided by his footsteps and attain to his state. He was the all-pervading RADIANCE – for the young or old, rich or poor, good or evil to follow. Redemption…is at hand!!!
